FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Lexington Sporting Club has loaned forward Amber Nguyen to Fort Lauderdale United FC for the remainder of the Fall 2026 Gainbridge Super League season.
The 24-year-old has made two substitute appearances for the Gals in Green and played in 11 total matches over the last two campaigns for Lexington.
The club wishes Amber the best in Fort Lauderdale.
DAVIE, Fla. — The comeback fell short for the reigning champions in Florida Sunday night as the Lexington Sporting Club women were defeated by Fort Lauderdale United FC, 2-1.
The hosts established their lead in the 37’ minute and never looked back. Five minutes into the second half, Fort Lauderdale doubled its advantage following an LSC miscue in central midfield.
After a first half in which Lexington struggled to create high-percentage scoring chances after the first few minutes of play, the Gals in Green’s offense came to life in the second half. Substitutes Sarah Griffith and Hannah White served as the offensive catalysts for LSC’s late surge.
Lexington tallied seven shots after Griffith entered the match in the 76’ minute, including one from White that hit the back of the net.
A strong dribble by Catherine Barry while evading a challenge ended with a well-delivered ball to the feet of White in front of goal. White hammered it into the roof of the net for her second goal of the season.
White ended up accounting for 0.95 of Lexington’s 2.37 total expected goals on the evening.
Despite a rotated Starting XI, Lexington led its opponent in most offensive statistics, just as it has so many times this season. It led in shots (23-8), shots on target (8-3) and possession (58%-42%).
The loss marks the third of the Fall 2026 campaign for LSC and snapped a modest three-match unbeaten streak. The club ends the weekend in fifth place in the standings with a 3W-3L-1D record.

DAVIE, Fla. — The Lexington Sporting Club women are preparing for their second of four consecutive matches against clubs from Florida Sunday evening as they take on Fort Lauderdale United FC in Gainbridge Super League action.
The series has been about as lopsided as it gets in professional soccer as of late and skews heavily in favor of the Gals in Green. Lexington has rattled off three consecutive victories against Fort Lauderdale, having not lost to its opponent since the 2024/25 season.
Last season, Lexington posted a 3W-0L-1D record against Fort Lauderdale and outscored the club 13-5. Three of Fort Lauderdale’s five goals in the series were scored in the first match of the season.
Catherine Barry has feasted against Fort Lauderdale throughout the 2025/26 season, a statement that rings true for several clubs across the Gainbridge Super League. The striker scored three times against them last season, and if she does so again, it will be a historic goal.
Barry currently sits on 19 Gainbridge Super League regular season goals. With one more, she will become just the second player in league history to cross the 20-goal threshold, joining only Addie McCain.
McCain’s 22 goals, the most in league history, are split between her time at Fort Lauderdale during the 2024/25 season and her time in Lexington. McCain bagged 10 goals in a Fort Lauderdale shirt and has added 12 more while in green.
Barry would become the first player in league history to reach 20 goals with one club.
Lexington enters play unbeaten in its last three matches. LSC compiled wins against Sporting Club Jacksonville and Dallas Trinity FC before drawing with Tampa Bay Sun FC last time out.

Fort Lauderdale United FC enters play as the only club with fewer than two wins in the Gainbridge Super League heading into Week 9. It sports a 1W-6L-0D record, a –7 goal differential and sits in last place in the standings.
The Florida side is also the only club that has not scored multiple goals in a match.
The club parted ways with Head Coach Tyrone Mears earlier this week. Mears served as Fort Lauderdale’s head coach during the 2024/25 season before being named the club’s president of soccer for the 2025/26 season, then was renamed head coach for the Fall 2026 campaign. Paul Jennison will serve as the club’s interim head coach for the second time in two years.
Sh’nia Gordon leads the side with two goals. Goalkeeper Haley Craig has posted a 62.1% save percentage on the season, making 18 saves on 29 shots faced and logging one clean sheet.

WASHINGTON — Lexington Sporting Club announced Thursday it has loaned midfielder Tati Fung to DC Power FC for the remainder of the Fall 2026 Gainbridge Super League season.
Fung appeared four times for LSC as a substitute through Lexington’s first six matches, tallying 53 minutes played.
The club wishes Tati the best while with DC.
TAMPA, Fla. — The Lexington Sporting Club women and Tampa Bay Sun FC played to a 1-1 draw Sunday evening. The league’s all-time leading scorer, Addie McCain, added another to her name to secure a point for the Gals in Green.
The hosts were the first to find the scoreboard in the 31’ minute when an initial save by Lexington goalkeeper Ryan Campbell ascended straight into the air. Campbell, who was forced to make a diving stop on the play, was unable to regain her positioning and stop the ensuing header by Tampa Bay’s Shea Connors on the rebound.
Lexington responded 10 minutes later with the club’s first first-half goal of the season.
A corner kick in the 41’ minute saw Ally Brown connect with Addie McCain at the back post to equalize for LSC. The goal marked the second consecutive match in which Brown connected with McCain and the third of the season for the Lexington captain.
McCain has now scored 22 times in the Gainbridge Super League regular season over her career.
That would be the extent of the scoring Sunday evening.
Although it played with the majority of possession in the second half, Lexington’s defense was called into question on multiple occasions — a call the best defense in the league was more than capable of responding to. Tampa Bay led LSC in shots and shots on target in the period, but three saves from Campbell and quick reaction in crucial situations from its defenders blanked the home side over the last 45 minutes.
The 1-1 draw extended Lexington’s current unbeaten run to three straight. The Gals in Green now sport a 3W-2L-1D record on the season.

TAMPA, Fla. — The only two clubs to be crowned Gainbridge Super League champions are set to match up in West Florida Sunday evening when Lexington Sporting Club takes on Tampa Bay Sun FC.
After losing all four matches to the Sun during the 2024-25 inaugural season, the year in which the Florida side won the Final, the Lexington SC women went 2W-0L-1D against Tampa Bay last season en route to winning a title of its own.
LSC outscored Tampa Bay 6-1 across those three meetings. Catherine Barry was critical to Lexington’s success in the series last season, scoring four times and logging the first women’s hat trick in club history on April 18, 2026.
With one more goal, Barry will become just the second player in Gainbridge Super League history to reach the 20 regular-season goal mark, joining her teammate Addie McCain. She would also become the first player to do so with one team.
Fueled by Barry and the best backline in the league, Lexington has won back-to-back matches by a combined score of 4-0. Goalkeeper Ryan Campbell has not allowed a goal since Sept. 11, and her 0.6 goals allowed per 90 minutes is the best mark in the league.

Tampa Bay Sun FC enters play with a 2W-1L-2D record through its first five matches played with a +1 goal differential. The group is still looking for its first clean sheet of the new campaign.
Forward Shea Connors, an offseason addition by Tampa Bay from Australia’s Sydney FC, leads the side with four goals and 15 shots. She has scored in each of the Sun’s last four matches.
The 2025/26 First Team All-League selection Sydny Nasello leads the side with two assists and nine chances created this season.
Barry’s four goals against Tampa Bay are tied for the most in the history of the series, alongside former Tampa Bay forward Cecilie Fløe.

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Four Lexington Sporting Club women have been named to the Gainbridge Super League’s September Team of the Month, the second consecutive month multiple LSC players have been a part of the roster. Defender Allison Pantuso was named to the Team of the Month Starting XI, while defenders Ally Brown and Regan Steigleder, plus goalkeeper Ryan Campbell, were named to the TOTM bench.
Pantuso earned the honor following a strong defensive month for the Gals in Green, winning 75% of her tackles (3/4) and 70% of her duels (7/10) throughout September. She also recorded 14 clearances and won possession for LSC 12 times.
Brown earned her place on the TOTM bench with an assist and four chances created. She also contributed 11 clearances, 13 final-third entries, and won 50% of her duels (7/14).
Steigleder posted a perfect tackle rate in September (2/2) and notched 21 clearances.
Finally, goalkeeper Campbell rounded out the LSC selections after recording seven saves throughout September and two clean sheets in there matches. She currently holds an 82.4% save percentage for the season.
This marks the fourth Team of the Month honor for Allison Pantuso, who previously received the recognition in October 2024, December 2025 and February 2026. Regan Steigleder earns her second honor after previously being recognized in March 2026.
For Ally Brown and Ryan Campbell, this marks their first Team of the Month selection.

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Lexington Sporting Club has signed 17-year-old midfielder Bridget Kopmeyer to an Academy contract with its Gainbridge Super League squad, pending league and federation approval.
The signing allows Kopmeyer to train and compete with the first team, as well as feature with the pro squad on matchdays, without forfeiting her NCAA eligibility.
As a member of California club Slammers FC HB Køge, Kopmeyer was named to the United States U-17 Women’s National Team earlier in September ahead of the upcoming 2026 FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, in addition to previous stints with the U.S. U-16s and U-17s.
Kopmeyer also competed alongside boys with Michigan Wolves SC in MLS NEXT.
On Sept. 17, the former ECNL Ohio Valley Conference U-15 Player of the Year and ECNL Girls All-American announced her commitment to Michigan State University for the 2028 season.
“I’m so excited and grateful for the opportunity to have officially signed with Lexington SC,” said Kopmeyer. “Stepping into a winning, competitive and developmental environment alongside so many experienced players is going to push me to a whole new level. I can’t wait to learn from everyone, make an impact on the field and help bring home another championship.”

LEXINGTON, Ky. — It was a three-goal outing for the Lexington Sporting Club women Friday night to beat Dallas Trinity FC, 3-0. Catherine Barry led the way with two goals as the Gals in Green made it two wins on the bounce.
It took until the second half for Lexington to find the first goal of the match, but it was wonderfully worked and exceptionally executed.
Ally Brown shaked-and-baked in the left corner, meticulously creating inches of separation between her and her mark. After creating just enough breathing room, she got the cross off with her left foot to connect with Addie McCain at the back post.
The goal marked the second of the season for McCain and the 21st of the league’s all-time leading scorer in regular season play.
Brown’s assist was the first goal contribution of the 22-year-old’s professional career.
The reigning Golden Boot winner was the next to find the back of the net, and unlike lightning, she would strike twice.
In the 70’ minute, Catherine Barry did the dirty work and ended up with the glory on the play, chasing down a pass played backwards by Dallas and dispossessing the Trinity recipient. After winning the ball, she drew the goalkeeper out and finished into an empty net.
Ten minutes later, Dallas was called for a handball inside its own box. Lexington was awarded a penalty, and Barry promptly buried her shot in the bottom-left corner to complete the brace.
The two-goal effort was the sixth of Barry’s LSC career, the most in Gainbridge Super League history.
With its second consecutive victory, Lexington improved to 3W-2L-0D on the season.
