LEXINGTON, Ky. — Lexington Sporting Club’s Addie McCain and Catherine Barry have been named to the Gainbridge Super League’s October Team of the Month, the first Team of the Month award for each player of the Fall 2026 campaign.
In five October matches, McCain played all 450 minutes for the Gals in Green, propelling the club to one win and two draws. The LSC captain scored twice and tallied eight total chances created. She also led the Lexington attack with 38 final-third entries.
McCain was just as impactful on the defensive end. She won 57% of her attempted duels (16/28), recorded five interceptions and tallied five clearances for LSC primarily as an attacking midfielder.
The honor adds to a standout start to the Fall 2026 campaign for McCain, who was named to the Week 1 Player of the Week to begin the season.
For Catherine Barry, the award follows a month in which the forward also scored twice and notched two assists to boot. Barry also created eight scoring chances to tie McCain for the club lead in October.
Barry leads LSC with five goals, trailed closely by McCain with four. Earlier this season, both became the first two players to reach 20 regular-season goals scored over their Gainbridge Super League careers.
