Lexington, Ky. – Lexington Sporting Club is proud to announce the signing of Justina Gaynor to its Gainbridge Super League roster ahead of the 2025/26 season, pending league and federation approval. Gaynor adds to an already talented group of signings and joins the Greens after most recently playing for NWSL side Chicago Stars FC.

A native of Shelby Township, Michigan, Gaynor was a standout at the youth level, earning an impressive list of accolades: three-time US Youth Soccer National Champion, three-time Regional Champion, and five-time Michigan State Cup Champion. She was also selected to the Olympic Development Program state and regional teams and participated in national training camps.

Following high school, Gaynor played one season of NCAA soccer with Butler University before transferring to Michigan State where she would go on to play another four seasons. While in East Lansing, she became one of the most decorated players in Michigan State women’s soccer history. She earned United Soccer Coaches All-America honors, was a three-time First Team All-Big Ten selection, and was named the 2023 Big Ten Midfielder of the Year, a two-time First Team Scholar All-America and Academic All-America honoree, she was also the university’s Big Ten Medal of Honor recipient and a 2024 NCAA Woman of the Year nominee.

Over four seasons at Michigan State, Gaynor made 83 appearances (73 starts), recording 16 goals and 20 assists. This included five game-winning goals in 2024 alone. She helped lead the Spartans to back-to-back Big Ten Championships and multiple NCAA Tournament wins, including the program’s first-ever NCAA Second Round victory. She was also named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List, recognizing her among the nation’s elite collegiate players.

Gaynor signed her first professional contract on March 12, 2025, with Chicago Stars FC after earning an invitation to preseason as a non-roster invitee. She made her professional debut just two days later, appearing as a second-half substitute in the club’s season opener.

The Michigan native brings strength, composure, and versatility to a Lexington SC side continuing to take shape ahead of its inaugural Gainbridge Super League campaign.

Lexington SC will begin preseason play on July 13 with a road match against Racing Louisville FC at Lynn Family Stadium.

Larroquette is a seasoned Argentine forward with professional experience across South America, Europe, and the NWSL. She began her career at River Plate and has since played for Universidad de Chile, Norway’s Lyn, Sporting CP, and León in Mexico. 

She joined Orlando Pride in 2023 after appearing in 19 matches for Kansas City Current in 2021. On the international stage, Larroquette has represented Argentina in two FIFA Women’s World Cups, the 2021 SheBelieves Cup, and the 2019 Pan American Games. 

Bringing veteran leadership, a proven goal-scoring ability, and extensive international experience, Larroquette adds depth and quality to the Lexington SC frontline. 

With the new season approaching, Larroquette joins a talented Lexington SC team eager to leave its mark on the 2025/26 Gainbridge Super League.

Lexington, Ky. – Lexington Sporting Club has signed Addie McCain on a transfer from Fort Lauderdale United FC ahead of the 2025/26 Gainbridge Super League season, pending league and federation approval. A proven talent, the midfielder is coming off a stellar 2024/25 USL Super League campaign in which she tallied 10 goals and earned All-League First Team honors.

A Wylie, Texas native, McCain grew up playing in the FC Dallas academy and for Wylie East High School. As a high school sophomore in 2015, she led the Lady Raiders to the Texas 5A State Championship and was named MVP of the tournament.

McCain graduated high school early to enroll at Texas A&M University, where she played collegiate soccer from 2017 to 2020. Over four seasons with the Aggies, she made 75 appearances, including 66 starts, scoring 16 goals and providing 16 assists from midfield with four of those goals being of the game-winning variety. Her standout college career earned her multiple accolades, including 2020 All-SEC First Team and 2020 SEC Midfielder of the Year honors.

In 2021, McCain was selected 17th overall in the NWSL Draft by the Kansas City Current, making her professional debut on April 26, 2021, against the Houston Dash. After two seasons in Kansas City, she joined the Chicago Red Stars, spending the 2023 season with the club.

In the summer of 2024, McCain signed with Fort Lauderdale United FC ahead of the inaugural USL Super League season. She played a central role in the club’s run to the USL Super League Final, cementing her reputation as one of the league’s top midfielders.

Now in Lexington, McCain brings experience and a proven track record to a team building toward an exciting 2025/26 Gainbridge Super League campaign.

Cox made her presence known with several big moments between the posts, including a highlight-reel stop at home against Brooklyn FC that earned her USL Super League Save of the Year honors. Whether called upon as a starter or stepping in when needed, Cox showed poise, sharp instincts, and the kind of fearless mentality fans love to rally behind. 

With Cox back in goal, Lexington retains a steady and trusted presence as it looks to build on the foundation laid last season and continue pushing forward in year two.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Lexington Sporting Club is proud to welcome Masaki Hemmi as the new head coach of the club’s women’s team, which will compete in the upcoming 2025/26 Gainbridge Super League season. 

Hemmi joins Lexington following a successful stint as interim head coach of Chicago Stars FC in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). He stepped into the role earlier this year and helped stabilize the team’s performance, earning a draw in his first match and bringing fresh energy to the squad. 

“I’m incredibly excited and truly honored to have the opportunity to lead Lexington Sporting Club into the 2025/26 season and beyond,” said Hemmi. 

Originally from Tokyo, Japan, Hemmi moved to Carlsbad, New Mexico, at age 16 and has since built a career in soccer that reflects both global perspective and deep roots in the game. He played collegiately at the Colorado School of Mines and the University of New Mexico before shifting his focus to coaching and player development. 

“My passion lies in developing every individual within the organization to maximize our collective potential and drive the highest probability of success,” said Coach Hemmi. “I will give everything I have to help establish Lexington Sporting Club as a fortress for professional soccer, both in this country and on the global stage.” 

Over the past decade, Hemmi has earned a strong reputation across levels of the game. In 2021, he served as associate head coach for INAC Kobe of Japan’s WE League, helping prepare the team in the lead-up to the Tokyo Olympics. He later held roles as first assistant coach and director of player personnel for New Mexico United (USL Championship) and was named interim head coach in 2023. He joined the coaching staff of Chicago Stars FC in 2024 and was elevated to interim head coach in 2025. 

“We are proud to introduce Coach Masaki as the new head coach of our women’s team,” said Stephen Dawahare, Lexington SC Ownership. “With a proven track record in the NWSL, USL, and abroad, he brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the modern game. We believe his leadership will foster a culture of excellence and drive our players to achieve their best.” 

Hemmi will arrive in Lexington in the coming days and begin working with staff and players as the club prepares for its first preseason friendly against Racing Louisville FC on July 13, 2025, at Lynn Family Stadium.

Asman, a Georgia native, joined Orlando Pride ahead of the 2025 NWSL season on a two-year deal through 2026. After spending the 2024 season with the Portland Thorns after she was selected in the third round, No. 39 overall, in the 2024 NWSL Draft by the Thorns. 

Ahead of her professional career, Asman served as Penn State’s starting goalkeeper, making 323 saves in 87 games and recording 27 shutouts for the Nittany Lions. 

Asman adds depth and composure in goal, with a collegiate resume that offers both consistency and reliability. 

As preparations for the new season continue, Asman joins a competitive Lexington SC squad eager to leave their mark in the 2025/26 Gainbridge Super League campaign.

A proven leader with championship experience and a team-first mindset, Aylmer brings a steady hand and winning pedigree to the heart of Lexington’s midfield.

Her path to Lexington reads like the blueprint for a modern professional: start every college match, earn your stripes in the NWSL, take your game abroad, and keep growing every step of the way. From the Big Ten to the top tier of European soccer, Aylmer has consistently shown up, adapted, and made an impact wherever the game has taken her.

Aylmer played her collegiate career at Rutgers University, where she started all 85 matches, served as a two-year captain, and led the Big Ten in assists as a senior. Her leadership and on-field awareness earned her All-Big Ten and All-Region honors in 2019. 

She made her professional debut in 2021 with NJ/NY Gotham FC and later joined the Washington Spirit, where she was part of the 2021 NWSL Championship team. After two seasons in the nation’s top league, she broadened her career overseas, joining Åland United in Finland’s Kansallinen Liiga. She returned to the U.S. in 2023 for a short-term contract with Racing Louisville FC before taking on a key role with Spokane Zephyr FC in the USL Super League. With Spokane, she made 24 appearances (23 starts) and scored four goals during the 2024/25 season. 

Now in Lexington, Aylmer brings valuable experience and a calm, commanding presence to a squad building toward the 2025/26 Gainbridge Super League season. She adds to a growing roster focused on culture, chemistry, and competitive ambition.

Lexington, Ky. – Lexington Sporting Club has signed midfielder Cassie Rohan ahead of the 2025/26 Gainbridge Super League season. 

Rohan, a native of Palatine, Illinois, brings proven experience and a competitive edge to Lexington’s midfield. She played four seasons at Drake University, earning All-Missouri Valley Conference First Team honors in both 2018 and 2019. She was also named to the MVC All-Tournament Team in each of those seasons. 

As a senior in 2019, Rohan appeared in 17 matches with 14 starts, scoring two goals and adding one assist. Both of her goals that year were game winners, including one in a 1-0 victory during the MVC Tournament semifinal. Over her college career, she made 58 appearances and started 30 matches. 

Following her time at Drake, Rohan went on to make her professional debut with the Chicago Red Stars in the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup. She appeared in the opening match of the tournament, becoming the first Drake women’s soccer alum to play in the NWSL. 

Rohan brings a composed presence to the field, known for her vision, positioning and ability to control tempo in the middle third. Her signing adds another key piece to a Lexington SC squad preparing for its upcoming season in the Gainbridge Super League.

Johnson, a Florida native with SEC pedigree and recent NWSL experience, brings energy and versatility to a squad that’s beginning to take shape. Known for her ability to read the game and push forward when needed, she arrives in Lexington following a spring stint with Angel City FC, where she made her professional debut in June. 

Before stepping onto the NWSL stage, Johnson played college soccer at Mississippi State. Over four seasons with the Bulldogs, she made 81 appearances, racking up more than 4,900 minutes, 7 goals, and 13 assists. Her efforts helped guide the program to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances and earned her all-conference recognition. 

Johnson’s journey from Middleburg, Florida, to the professional game is a reflection of the resilience and work ethic that define the culture Lexington SC is building. After signing with Angel City on a short-term roster relief deal in March, she made her NWSL debut in a 2-2 draw against Chicago on June 7. Her contract concluded at the end of June, just as Lexington’s summer roster was coming into focus. 

As preseason continues, Johnson becomes part of a growing group of players who are ready to help shape the club’s 2025/26 Gainbridge Super League campaign. She joins a squad built not just on talent, but on grit, ambition and a belief in what Lexington soccer can become.
