LEXINGTON, Ky. — Lexington Sporting Club has acquired fullback Patrick Seagrist from Greenville Triumph SC via permanent transfer, pending league and federation approval. The six-year USL veteran has logged nearly 12,000 professional minutes.
Over his USL Championship career, Seagrist has tallied 180 interceptions and won 61% of his tackles (126/206). Offensively, he has scored four times to pair with 10 assists.
In 2026, his first season in League One, Seagrist appeared 15 times for Greenville in league play, totaling 14 starts with two assists.
“I’m blessed to have the opportunity to be back in the Championship and play for a club that is chasing a trophy with high expectations,” said Seagrist. “I look forward to giving everything I have to the club for the remainder of the season, meeting the players and staff, as well as playing alongside some familiar faces throughout my soccer journey.”
Seagrist was originally drafted 10th overall by New York Red Bulls in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft. He started three times for Red Bulls before being traded to Inter Miami CF, where he was then loaned to the USL Championship’s Indy Eleven.
Following one season with Indy, Seagrist signed with Memphis 901 FC where he played alongside Aaron Molloy and Phillip Goodrum during the club’s record-setting season. He tallied nearly 3,000 minutes with one goal, four assists, 75 interceptions and 33 chances created as 901 FC posted a franchise-best 21W-8L-5D record.
The Barrington, Illinois, native joined Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC in 2023 and was then transferred to FC Tulsa mid-season where he reunited with Goodrum and joined Marcus Epps, Blaine Ferri and Milo Yosef.
Seagrist remained in Tulsa until signing with Greenville in 2025, racking up 58 appearances for the Scissortails.
Collegiately, he spent four seasons at Marquette University (2016-19) where he registered six goals and 16 assists in 65 matches for the Golden Eagles.
Seagrist will be available for selection for head coach Mac Hemmi ahead of Lexington’s match at New Mexico United on Aug. 26.
