LEXINGTON, Ky. — Lexington Sporting Club has acquired midfielder Cielo Tschantret via loan from Major League Soccer’s Sporting Kansas City, pending league and federation approval.
Tschantret pronounced (CHELL-oh tuh-SAN-tret) signed a homegrown contract with Sporting KC in November 2025, becoming the 23rd product of its academy to do so in the club’s history.
The 20-year-old made his MLS debut earlier this season, starting and logging 51 minutes against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on April 17.
“To the Lexington fans, I’m super excited to be joining you all for the remainder of the season,” said Tschantret. “I hope to continue the hard work the team has put in all season, and I can’t wait to see you at the stadium.”
Tschantret compiled 57 appearances in MLS NEXT Pro for Sporting KC II, tallying six goals and two assists. He captained the club in 2025 and led all MLS NEXT Pro teenagers with 2,327 minutes.
The newest addition to the Lexington Sporting Club roster will be made available for selection for head coach Mac Hemmi in LSC’s upcoming match vs. Monterey Bay FC on Aug. 1.
