LEXINGTON, Ky. – Lexington Sporting Club will play its third and final of three matches it had scheduled in an eight-day span on Saturday, traveling to Future Legends Field in Windsor, Colo, to face off against NC Hailstorm FC. Kickoff is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET.
Lexington SC (4-10-6, 18 points) is coming off a 2-0 loss on Wednesday against a vengeful Union Omaha club that had been defeated 3-0 by Lexington just days prior. The visitors will enter Saturday’s matchup from the No. 10 spot in the standings.
NC Hailstorm FC (10-3-5, 35 points) is coming off a 4-1 loss against Charlotte Ind., which extended a two-match losing streak. Regardless of the losses, Northern Colorado still maintains the No. 1 spot in the league standings.

GAME NOTES
Lexington SC has faced off against NC Hailstorm FC once already this season, fighting to a 2-2 draw at home on June 3rd. The match was significant as it saw Ates Diouf record the first brace in Lexington SC history.
Despite entering the match on the back of a two-match losing streak, NC Hailstorm FC currently still maintains the No. 1 spot in the league table. The club has also scored the most goals of any club thus far this season.
Prior to the Union Omaha game, Lexington SC hadn’t been shut out since April 22 against Greenville Triumph SC. In fact, the club has only been shutout a total of four times, one of which was a 0-0 draw against Forward Madison and another of which was a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Matchup against USL Championship outfit Louisville City FC.
Billy King is the man to watch for NC Hailstorm FC. A four-time USL League One Player of the Week, King may not be Hailstorm’s leading scorer (that goes to Trevor Amann with a staggering 14 goals), but he poses the greatest threat to Lexington SC. Having amassed seven goals of his own, including one against Lexington, King has been blossoming as of late, finding the net in three of the club’s last four matches that have featured Hailstorm goals. He was also the only player to score against Charlotte. Already having proven to have what it takes to find the net against Lexington, the lads in green will have to be on top of their game against Billy King.
