GAME NOTES
Lexington SC has faced off against Union Omaha once already this season, recording its biggest win of the season (3-0) less than two weeks ago on July 22. The meeting was the first between the two clubs.
Lexington’s win over Omaha marked the first time in club history that it had scored three goals in a single match. With a 2-2 draw against Richmond following, the club has averaged 2.5 goals per game in its last two matchups and hasn’t been shutout since April 22.
Lexington SC is one of just four clubs to have converted 100% of the penalty kicks it has been awarded, standing at a perfect 5-5 from the spot. Don Smart has been the goal scorer on four attempts while Ates Diouf scored his first on July 9.
Noe Meza is the man to watch for Union Omaha. A four-time USL League One Team of the Week honoree and two-time Player of the Week, Meza leads Omaha in scoring with a staggering nine goals, five more than anyone else on the team. Lexington SC will have to be at the top of its game on defense to keep the attacker from putting his team on top.
