LEXINGTON, Ky. – Lexington Sporting Club will hit the road to begin an extended road trip, first traveling to American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, NC., to face off against the Charlotte Independence. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST.
Lexington SC (3-7-5, 14 points) is coming off a loss against Tormenta FC at home, marking just the second home loss all season for the club. The boys in green currently stand at 10th in the league standings.
Charlotte Independence (6-5-5, 23 points) is coming off a 3-2 loss to Northern Colorado Hailstorm which extended a four-match winless streak that has seen the club drop three of its last four. Charlotte is currently 5th in the league standings.

GAME NOTES
Lexington SC has faced off against Charlotte Independence once already this season, winning 1-0 at home after Amal Knight’s penalty kick save on May 13.
The match in Charlotte is the first of a two-match road trip for Lexington SC that will see 20 full days in between home games at Toyota Stadium. The club lost to Tormenta FC on July 2 and will face Union Omaha on July 22.
Both clubs enter the match on a two-match losing streak. Charlotte has dropped three of its last four matches after a three-match winning streak. Lexington SC has lost two straight after a five-match unbeaten streak.
Lexington SC is fifth in USL League One in interceptions per match with an average of 8.7. Terique Mohammed himself ties for first in the league in interceptions per 90 with 2.7.
Austin Pack is the man to watch for Charlotte Independence. A four-time USL League One Goalkeeper of the Week this season alone, Pack also ranks fourth on the USL League One’s Golden Glove watchlist. Ranking third in the league in clean sheets, first in saves per 90, and second in save percentage, Pack will be a force to be reckoned with in goal.
