LEXINGTON, Ky. — Fresh off a Week 2 bye, the Lexington Sporting Club women are back at The Stables to host DC Power FC Saturday afternoon, a club it has gone unbeaten against in its last six meetings.
It could not have been a better start to the Fall 2026 campaign for the reigning champs. After a slow first half in Week 1, the Gals in Green erupted for three goals in the second half, including two goals within three minutes of each other.
Last season’s Golden Boot winner, Catherine Barry, opened her Fall 2026 account with LSC’s first of the match. Addie McCain scored quickly thereafter to become the first player in league history to cross the 20-goal threshold, and after a strong preseason, Hannah White scored LSC’s third.
Center-back Allison Pantuso also became the second player to surpass the 5,000 regular-season minute mark in Gainbridge Super League history. She remains tied with Dallas Trinity FC’s Amber Wisner for the most minutes played in league history.
Lexington and DC Power FC have squared off seven times before. LSC has only lost one of those seven meetings, and it was their first-ever clash on Oct. 25, 2024. Since then, the Gals in Green have gone 3W-0L-3D against DC with a +6 goal differential.
And of course, Catherine Barry scored her immaculate 50-yard stunner in DC the last time these two squads met, her second of that match. The goal appeared in the No. 4 slot that evening on SportsCenter’s Top 10.
Dating back to the spring, Lexington has won seven consecutive matches at Lexington SC Stadium. The Stables has become a fortress and have not seen an LSC defeat since March 8, 2026.

SCOUTING DC POWER
DC Power enters play with a 1W-1L-0D record over its first two matches of the Gainbridge Super League season. The club’s four goals are tied for the most in the league with Carolina Ascent FC and Sporting Club Jacksonville, each of whom has also played two matches.
With squad construction a top priority during the offseason rebuild, DC Power saw key starters Alexis Theoret and goalkeeper Morgan Aquino depart. The club responded by bringing in several new faces, including two midfielders to help establish the middle of the park — Tyler Lussi, formerly of Carolina Ascent FC, and Spokane’s Emma Jaskaniec.
Offensively, Emily Colton serves as the primary playmaker after posting a club-high 51 chances created last season. Forward Gianna Gourley, who missed DC’s season opener due to injury but was subbed on during its last match at Brooklyn, anchors the attack after leading DC with eight goals and 56 shots.

Lexington vs. DC Power FC is only the beginning of the fun lined up at The Stables on Saturday. The Lexington SC men host Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC at 7 p.m. ET that evening.

Between the matches, beginning at 3:30 p.m. ET, LSC is hosting Vintage Market inside the stadium. A number of vendors will be in attendance for fans to shop from. Vintage Market is only accessible with a ticket to the LSC men’s match in the evening.
