LEXINGTON, Ky. — Lexington Sporting Club has signed 17-year-old midfielder Bridget Kopmeyer to an Academy contract with its Gainbridge Super League squad, pending league and federation approval.
The signing allows Kopmeyer to train and compete with the first team, as well as feature with the pro squad on matchdays, without forfeiting her NCAA eligibility.
As a member of California club Slammers FC HB Køge, Kopmeyer was named to the United States U-17 Women’s National Team earlier in September ahead of the upcoming 2026 FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, in addition to previous stints with the U.S. U-16s and U-17s.
Kopmeyer also competed alongside boys with Michigan Wolves SC in MLS NEXT.
On Sept. 17, the former ECNL Ohio Valley Conference U-15 Player of the Year and ECNL Girls All-American announced her commitment to Michigan State University for the 2028 season.

Kopmeyer joins McKenzie Hawkins as the second player to ink an Academy deal with the Lexington Sporting Club women.
