LEXINGTON, Ky. — Lexington Sporting Club has announced the signing of forward Kate Doyle to its USL Super League squad ahead of the Spring 2025 season. Doyle joins the club following a standout collegiate career at the University of Arkansas and Gonzaga University.
Doyle made an immediate impact at Arkansas, earning SEC Offensive Player of the Week honors after scoring twice against Gonzaga early in the 2024 season. She recorded seven goals in six matches to start the year and added a key insurance goal against No. 24 Texas on October 18.
Prior to her time in the SEC, Doyle spent four seasons at Gonzaga, where she ranked in the program’s top 10 for career goals (16), assists (12), points (44), and game-winning goals (6). Her senior season was cut short due to injury, but she still managed seven goals and two assists in just six matches. She was named All-WCC Honorable Mention as a junior and earned WCC Player of the Week honors as a sophomore.
Off the field, Doyle excelled academically, earning three selections to Gonzaga’s President’s List and a place on the West Coast Conference Academic Honor Roll. She will continue her studies in accounting and business administration.
Doyle’s path to professional soccer is unique, as she only played high school soccer for one season before transitioning to club play with Crossfire Premier SC. Her brother, Thomas, played collegiate basketball at Chapman University.
Lexington Sporting Club continues to strengthen its roster ahead of the USL Super League campaign, with Doyle expected to be a key addition to the attack.
