TAMPA, Fla. – Lexington SC goalkeeper Amal Knight and Terique Mohammed were named to the USL League One Week 25 Team of the Week while Tate Robertson featured on the second team, the league office announced Tuesday.
Lexington SC reached a 1-1 draw at home against Greenville Triumph SC, which marked the second-consecutive point-bearing result for the club after it defeated Richmond Kickers 1-0.
Knight held the Triumph scoreless until the 90+8th minute, racking up four saves on five shots on target.
As for Terique, the Canadian earned his third assist of the season on a set-piece play, something that is becoming somewhat of a recurring act between him and Robertson. It was Terique’s first assist since he earned two in one match back in July against Union Omaha.
Finally, Robertson featured on the second team for scoring the aforementioned goal that was assisted by Terique. Launching a beautiful strike from the corner of the box, which also became the club’s Bad Ass Coffee Moment of the Match, the Ohio native found the net for the fourth time this season, bringing his total of goals contributed to up to 11.
Next up for Lexington SC the boys in green will hit the road on Wednesday, September 6, to face off against NC Hailstorm FC. That match will be followed by a second road match on Sunday against CV Fuego FC. The club will finally return home on September 17 for a rematch against Charlotte Ind.
