TAMPA, Fla. – Lexington SC’s Kimball Jackson and Ates Diouf were named to the USL League One Week 29 Team of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
Lexington SC faced off against Forward Madison FC away where it ultimately reached a 2-2 draw. Jackson and Diouf accounted for both goals.
The home side got on the board first before Diouf was able to quickly level it in the 74th minute.
All seemed lost when Madison scored a second just minutes later before Jackson was able to score his first ever professional goal on a corner kick play. The final whistle soon brought the 2-2 final.
The appearance in the Team of the Week is the first for Jackson.
Next up for Lexington SC the club will host North Carolina FC on October 7 before finishing its first ever professional season on the road against Greenville Triumph SC.
