TAMPA, Fla. — While Lexington Sporting Club has heavily populated the USL Championship Team of the Week lists throughout the 2026 season, two players have been featured more than anyone else — Blaine Ferri and Marcus Epps. Week 31 was no exception, as both players were once again awarded the league’s weekly accolade.
Ferri was named to the Team of the Week Starting XI, while Epps was named to the TOTW bench.
The honors come after Lexington knocked off El Paso Locomotive FC Saturday, 3-1, the first-place club in the Western Conference that entered the contest unbeaten in nine straight.
Ferri picked up his ninth assist of the season in the match by providing a perfect service to Phillip Goodrum in the 62’ minute. It tied Ferri for the most helpers in the USL Championship and increased his LSC total to 13, the most in franchise history.
His seven chances created that evening were the second-most by any player in the match. The midfielder also won 86% of his duels (6 of 7), two of his three tackle attempts and possession seven times for the Greens.
Marcus Epps accrued his sixth consecutive Team of the Week inclusion with a bench award.
Although he didn’t find the scoresheet, the Mississippi native led all players with a staggering nine chances created and ranked second on the club with five shots. Epps also won both of his tackle attempts.
The Team of the Week honors mark the ninth of the season for Ferri and the seventh for Epps.
