
Vernis arrives at Lexington SC following a standout collegiate career at both the University of Georgia and the University of Florida. Over four seasons, she made 81 appearances, registering 12 goals and 13 assists, while earning numerous accolades for her leadership and on-field performances.
At Georgia, Vernis emerged as a key playmaker and team leader, serving as a two-time captain and guiding the Bulldogs to the 2023 SEC Tournament Championship. That season, she showcased her attacking ability with six goals and seven assists, helping Georgia solidify itself as a top program in the conference. Her contributions earned her recognition on the United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region Second Team and Second Team All-SEC.
Before transferring to Georgia, Vernis began her collegiate career at Florida, where she appeared in 36 matches across two seasons, contributing three goals and two assists while logging nearly 2,500 minutes on the pitch.
Vernis is eager to bring her skills and leadership to Lexington Sporting Club as she transitions to the professional level. “I am very excited to get to work at Lexington Sporting Club. I am looking forward to competing while representing something bigger than myself,” she said.
