Initially acquired on loan from CF Montréal on March 20, 2025, Michael Adedokun signed permanently with Lexington Sporting Club on August 22, 2025.
Adedokun hails from Eruwa, Nigeria, where his passion for soccer first took root. In 2010, his talent was recognized by a coach from one of Nigeria’s premier soccer academies. At just 16, he earned a scholarship to Segun Odegbami International College & Sports Academy, where he competed in the nationally televised Governor’s Cup—becoming the tournament’s youngest participant, top scorer, and Most Valuable Player.
His journey eventually brought him to the United States, where he made an impact at both the University of Dayton (2020–2022) and Ohio State University (2023–2024). In 2024, Adedokun capped off his collegiate career by earning the prestigious MAC Hermann Trophy, awarded annually to the nation’s top men’s college soccer player.
Adedokun’s college career also included successful summer stints in the USL League Two ranks, where he represented the Dutch Dayton Lions (2021), Fort Wayne FC (2022), and the Flint City Bucks (2023).
In 2025, he made the jump to the professional ranks after being selected 13th overall by CF Montréal in the MLS SuperDraft.
