TAMPA, Fla. – Lexington SC’s Yannick Yankam and Azaad Liadi were named to the USL League One Week 6 Team of the Week as reserves, the league office announced Tuesday.
Both players found the back of the net during Lexington’s 2-2 draw against Spokane Velocity FC on Sunday afternoon in Georgetown, Ky.
Yankam created several opportunities for the squad to find the back of the net thanks to his highly accurate 92% successful passing rate — along with 2 great quality long passes. Yankam would find the back of the net to open the scoring for Lexington when he took his one and only shot on goal in the 26′.
As for Liadi, he was able to win 4 individual duels to help progress the ball down field for Lexington — and most importantly netted his first goal in green, along with his first since he’s returned to USL League One play after leaving the league in 2022.
Lexington Sporting Club is off this week, but will return to action on Sunday, April 28, to face off against Forward Madison at home in Georgetown Ky. The match is set to begin at 4:00PM ET and will be the first match for the club in the first ever USL Jägermesiter Cup.
