TAMPA, Fla. – Lexington SC’s Jorge Corrales and Cameron Lancaster were named to the USL League One Week 4 Team of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
The Boys in Green suffered a late 3-2 loss against Greenville Triumph SC after a red card and 15 minutes of stoppage time.
Corrales put in work defensively, logging 13 tackles and five clearances while also contributing offensively with two successful crosses and two scoring chances created. His efforts were enough to earn him a spot on the first team.
As for Lancaster, the former Louisville City FC ace finally broke through in the goal department in league matches, finding the net for Lexington’s second goal off an assist by Azaad Liadi. The goal was his third for Lexington but first in league play.
His efforts earned him a mention on the bench of the Team of the Week.
Lexington Sporting Club will return to action on Saturday, April 6, to face off against Tormenta FC in Tormenta Stadium in Statesboro, Ga. The match is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. ET.
