Blessing hails from Accra, Ghana, where his energy and quick feet made him stand out as a young soccer player. His breakthrough came with Liberty Professionals in the Ghana Premier League, where he became the league’s top scorer in 2016 with 17 goals and earned recognition as the nation’s Best Player of the Year. These performances from Blessing caught the eye of international scouts, which cleared his path to professional soccer in the United States.
In 2017, Blessing joined Sporting Kansas City in Major League Soccer, and his strong debut helped the club secure the U.S. Open Cup Title. Blessing’s career took another leap when Los Angeles FC selected him in the MLS Expansion Draft. With over 5 seasons with Los Angeles FC, his role with the club became essential as he made 140 league appearances.
His time with the club included a Supporters’ Shield in 2019 and an unforgettable double in 2022 when LAFC lifted both the Shield and MLS Cup. He continued his journey with MLS in Houston and New England, where he remained a dominant presence in midfield and attack.
