2024/2025 Season
Lexington Sporting Club announced the official signing of Hannah Richardson to the inaugural USL Super League roster on July 8, 2024.
Richardson made her Lexington SC debut in the club’s inaugural professional women’s match against Carolina Ascent FC on August 25, 2024.
The speedy forward featured in 21 of the club’s 28 matches during the 2024/25 campaign, earning 13 starts. She scored three goals, including a memorable brace against DC Power FC on December 14, 2024. Her opening strike, a clinical finish to cap off a blistering counter attack, was recognized as the Super League’s “Goal of the Month” for December 2024.
Before Lexington Sporting Club
A native of Illinois, Richardson began her soccer development with Sockers FC, a prominent youth club based in Chicago.
She went on to play NCAA Division I soccer at the University of Kentucky, where she made an immediate impact. As a freshman, she scored eight goals and added one assist, starting 17 of 18 games and earning SEC All-Freshman Team honors.
During her sophomore season (2020–21), which was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, Richardson was named to the SEC Preseason Watch List and recorded two goals and one assist in five starts across seven matches.
In her junior year, with a return to normal competition, she bounced back with eight goals and three assists in 19 appearances, starting 16 games and recording 21 shots on target.
As a senior under new head coach Troy Fabiano, Richardson formed a dynamic scoring partnership with UK’s all-time leading scorer Jordyn Rhodes. She tallied four goals and nine assists, starting all 18 matches and putting 23 shots on target. Both players were named to the SEC Preseason Watch List.
Richardson also earned a call-up to the United States U20 Women’s National Team during her collegiate career.
After college, she signed her first professional contract with HB Køge in Denmark’s Elitedivisionen, where she played alongside fellow Lexington SC Super League signing Bridgette Skiba. During the 2023–24 season, she helped the team finish third in the championship group, narrowly missing out on UEFA Women’s Champions League qualification.
In 2024, Richardson joined Lexington Sporting Club, bringing high-level experience and an impressive scoring résumé to the Super League squad.
