Gaël Gibert signed with Lexington SC on February 24 2025.
A vocal leader and tough-tackling center back, Gibert hails from Thiers, France. He began his career in the youth system of French club Clermont Foot before moving to the United States to play NCAA Division I soccer.
Gibert spent three seasons at Oregon State (2020–2022), helping anchor the Beavers’ backline, before transferring to Clemson for his final collegiate campaign in 2023.
He made the jump to the professional ranks in 2024, signing with FC Cincinnati 2 in MLS NEXT Pro. Gibert made 26 appearances in his debut season.
