2024/2025 Season
Lexington Sporting Club announced the official signing of Natalie Higgins to the inaugural USL Super League roster on June 21 2024.
Higgins sustained a serious ankle injury during the preseason. Despite the setback, she made a full recovery and came off the bench on April 26th 2025 against Dallas Trinity to make her LSC debut. Higgins would appear four more times for the Greens in 2024/25, totaling 185 minutes.
Before Lexington Sporting Club
A native of San Clemente, California, Higgins began her soccer journey as a standout at the collegiate level. She was a four-year starter for the Oregon State Beavers, helping transform the program from winless to competitive within the PAC-12. This followed a strong senior year of high school, where she was named team captain and earned First Team All-California honors.
Following college, Higgins began her professional career in Italy with Ravenna FC before heading to Australia. There, she played in the top flight of women’s soccer for Melbourne City in the A-League Women, as well as for Box Hill United. Her time in Australia was unfortunately cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2021, Higgins returned to the United States, joining the Cleveland Ambassadors in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL). Her performance earned her an invite to preseason camp with Angel City FC of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).
Next, she made the move to Finland, first joining Rovaniemen Palloseura (RoPS) before earning a spot with Helsingin Palloseura (HPS), a club in Finland’s top division. With HPS, she helped the team finish in the top half of the league and qualify for the championship group, competing for a spot in the Women’s Champions League.
In 2024, Higgins brought her leadership and international experience to Lexington Sporting Club, strengthening the squad with her versatility and high-level pedigree.
