LEXINGTON, Ky. – Lexington Sporting Club is set to begin the back-half of its four-match road trip in USL Super League action. The contest against DC Power FC will take place at 7:30 p.m. at Audi Field in the nation’s capital of Washington D.C.
Lexington SC (2-4-2, 8 points) is coming off back-to-back wins on the road over Spokane Zephyr FC and Fort Lauderdale United. Most recently, in Florida, the Greens overcame an early Addie McCain goal with a Madi Parsons brace for the three points.
DC Power FC (1-4-4, 7 points) will enter the match on the back of a 0-0 draw with Dallas Trinity at home. The match versus LSC will serve as the fifth home match for the Power, with the club holding a 0-3-1 record in home contests at Audi Field.

GAME NOTES
Lexington SC is facing DC Power FC for the first time in club history. DC Power is the final franchise in the inaugural USL Super League season that LSC has yet to face off against.
LSC is led in its inaugural season by head coach Michael Dickey. Dickey is the club’s first women’s professional coach, with Michelle Rayner serving as women’s sporting director and Ben Willis and Maren McCrary being Dickey’s assistants.
Lexington SC has scored the most goals in the USL Super League after its 2-1 win at Fort Lauderdale United last week. The Greens have logged 12 goals, two more than league leader Carolina Ascent and Dallas Trinity. DC Power has scored the least goals in the league with four.
Madi Parsons leads all LSC goal scorers with four goals on the year following her brace in Florida. Behind her, Sydney Shepherd has three, Marykate McGuire has two, and Kailey Utley, Kim Mendez and Shea Moyer have one each.
Jorian Baucom is the woman to watch for DC Power FC. With the capital squad struggling to come by goals this season, Baucom is the only player to have scored a goal in live-game action this season. The other three DC goals came by way of an own goal and two Madison Wolfbauer penalties. Lexington has shown proficiency with its attack in its recent matches, but tightening down defensively and limiting goals will be pivotal for long-term success in the USL Super League. Not committing penalties and limiting Baucom will go a long way in keeping the Power FC off the score sheet in Audi Field.

DAVIE, Fl. – Lexington Sporting Club earned its second consecutive win during its inaugural USL Super League season in a revenge match against Fort Lauderdale United.
“Winning is the best, it’s what we’re here for, to win games,” Head Coach Michael Dickey said. “We’re real excited about getting the points, winning some games. The deal is it’s a new league and a new team, new coaching staff, we’re learning every week about what our players can do, what they still need to train in order to be able to do better. Same thing on us as coaches, too, what do we need to do to better help them perform at their highest level and how can we maximize their skill sets? We’re all getting better every week.”
The contest marked the second time the Greens had faced FTL after a hat trick from United FC captain Addie McCain the Florida squad win 3-1 in Lexington.
Taking the field in the second road contest of what will be a four-match stretch to end the road schedule for the fall portion of the season, the Gals in Green applied the pressure early.
Despite their best efforts, however, it was once again McCain who found the back of the net for the opening goal in the 23rd minute, giving the home side the advantage at FTL UTD Stadium.
Undeterred by McCain’s fourth ever goal against LSC, Madi Parsons slotted home the equalizer in the 38th minute off an assist by Shea Moyer.
Both teams would enter the halftime break tied up at one each.
Back for the second half of action, LSC remained determined to find revenge, putting pressure on Fort Lauderdale in the club’s second home match.
With multiple scoring attempts being defended, the Greens finally found a breakthrough in the 71st minute when Kailey Utley found Parsons, who promptly scored her first ever professional brace and her team-leading fourth goal of the season.
“Scoring my first brace was truly a surreal moment for me, and was a huge success for our team. Once I beat the defender and the goalie, I was completely locked in on finishing the job and putting the ball in the net,” Parsons said. “Sometimes it’s the simplest goals that require the most focus, because you know how crucial they are. When the ball crossed the line, it was a mix of pure relief and joy. Moments like that remind me why I love the game, and to have helped my team in such a significant way made it even more special.”
While Fort Lauderdale did its best to level the match once again, strong defense from the Greens and Sarah Cox in goal ensured all scoring attempts were unsuccessful, with the full-time whistle bringing about the 2-1 final.
“It felt like the momentum was beginning to shift more in our favor the past couple matches, so to come away with positive results was super special for us as a team,” Utley said. “I can’t put into words how grateful I am to be part of this team and Lexington Sporting Club. I’m super excited to see what our group can achieve this year and how we can continue to build off of our recent success.”
United FC controlled the possession in the match, holding onto the ball 55.6% of the time while also winning in expected goals with a 1.90-0.70 advantage.
The Greens will return to action on Sunday, Oct. 27, on the road against DC Power FC inside Audi Field in the nation’s capital. Kickoff against DC is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET and will air live on Peacock.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Lexington Sporting Club is set to play the second match in its four-match road trip in USL Super League action. The contest against Fort Lauderdale United will take place at 7:30 p.m. ET at New Stadium at NSU in Davie, Florida.
Lexington SC (1-4-2, 5 points) is coming off the first win in club history over Spokane Zephyr FC. The 3-2 win was the first time the Greens have earned three points and marked the second point-bearing result in a row for the club.
Fort Lauderdale United (3-1-1, 10 points) will enter the match on the back of a 1-0 win over Brooklyn FC after its contest with Tampa Bay Sun was postponed due to Hurricane Milton. FTL has won three straight matches.

GAME NOTES
Lexington SC is facing Fort Lauderdale United for the second time in club history. FTL is the second team LSC has ever played twice. The first time the pair faced off, Fort Lauderdale won 3-1 in Lexington after an Addie McCain hat trick.
LSC is led in its inaugural season by head coach Michael Dickey. Dickey is the club’s first women’s professional coach, with Michelle Rayner serving as women’s sporting director and Ben Willis and Maren McCrary being Dickey’s assistants.
Fort Lauderdale is the second opponent LSC is facing off with for the second time during its inaugural campaign. Having recorded two draws against Carolina Ascent, LSC has never played a team twice and not walked away with at least one point.
Sydney Shepherd scored the game winner for the Greens against Spokane, marking her third goal of the year. Shepherd has excelled in set-piece excellence after also scoring the first goal in LSC history also on a corner kick.
Addie McCain is the woman to watch for Fort Lauderdale United. The name will be very familiar to Lexington fans after it was her hat trick that led to the 3-1 final last time the pair faced off. McCain has scored a staggering five of FTL’s eight goals this season, meaning she has netted 62% of all Fort Lauderdale goals. Lexington SC has been strong with Sarah Cox in goal, but the defense shutting down McCain is an absolute must if the Greens hope to build off the momentum of an inaugural victory.

SPOKANE, Was. – Lexington Sporting Club earned its first ever three points with a win over Spokane Zephyr FC. The final from One Spokane Stadium was 3-2.
“It’s pretty euphoric,” Head Coach Michael Dickey said. “Winning a game at a professional level, there’s nothing like it, so when your team wins and you get to see them experience their first pro win as a team and as a club, it’s outstanding. Still feeling really exceptional right now. It was a good win, it was nice to win on the road, which was difficult, and then to get our first one on top of that, everyone is in really high spirits.”
Things got off to a strong start for the visitors as captain Shea Moyer found the back of the net off an assist by Madi Parsons in the 18th minute.
Unfortunately for the Greens, the lead didn’t last long as Spokane’s Emma Jaskaniec scored an equalizer in the 36th minute.
Both teams entered the halftime break tied at one each.
Still on the hunt for the first win in club history, Lexington again took the lead early in the second half as Marykate McGuire netted one in the 48th minute.
Ever the equalizers, Spokane once again drew the match level, this time courtesy of Emina Ekic off an assist by Haley Thomas in the 58th minute.
From there, both sides continued to fight for a winner, with regulations coming to an end with the teams level at 1-1.
Lexington made a sub, adding Kailey Utley, and very nearly subbed eventual game-winner Sydney Shepherd, but opted to give the former Michigan Wolverine the benefit of the doubt.
The decision would ultimately be the correct one for the Greens as, following a corner kick in the 90+4th minute, Shepherd headed the ball into the net for a game winner.
“It was an amazing feeling knowing we’d secured the win,” Shepherd said. “Leading up to that moment I just remember thinking I needed to get something on the cross, but watching it sneak in was thrilling. It was an awesome moment for the team’s history, and I’m honored to be a part of it.”
Despite the best efforts of the home side, there wasn’t a third equalizer in the cards for Zephyr FC. The full-time whistle brought jubilation for the visiting Greens, who rallied around their goalkeeper.
“It was a really special moment for me,” Cox said. “As a keeper, a lot of what we do can go unnoticed, but it made the win that much sweeter to be embraced by the whole team like that. We have such a good group of women on this team and I’m so proud to be a part of what is yet to come for us.”
Spokane controlled the possession in the match, holding onto the ball 54% of the time while also winning in expected goals with a 3.80-1.76 advantage.
Next up for the Gals in Green, they’ll stay on the road on Saturday, Oct. 18, facing Fort Lauderdale United FC in Florida. Kickoff against FTL is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET and will air live on Peacock.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Lexington Sporting Club is set to hit the road in USL Super League action. The contest is set to take place at 5 p.m. ET from One Spokane Stadium in Spokane, Washington.
Lexington SC (0-4-2, 2 points) is coming off a second draw of the year against the league leaders in Carolina Ascent FC. The draw marked the second point in club history for the Greens and came in the exact same fashion as the first: a 1-1 draw with the LSC goal coming from a corner kick.
Spokane Zephyr FC (1-2-3, 6 points) will enter the match off the back of a 2-1 loss at home versus Dallas Trinity FC. Currently sitting at the No. 6 spot in the USL Super League table, Spokane is three points outside the current playoff line.

GAME NOTES
Lexington SC will be facing off with Spokane Zephyr FC for the first time in club history. Spokane is one of only two clubs in the USL Super League that the Greens have yet to face off against, with the other being DC Power FC.
LSC is led in its inaugural season by head coach Michael Dickey. Dickey is the club’s first women’s professional coach, with Michelle Rayner serving as women’s sporting director and Ben Willis and Maren McCrary being Dickey’s assistants.
While the Zephyr and the Greens have never faced off before, the Zephyr’s male counterparts, Spokane Velocity FC, also play in the One Spokane Stadium, with LSC having made one singular trip to the venue during the USL League One season. LSC earned a 1-1 draw, meaning the Greens will head into One Spokane Stadium undefeated as a club in the venue.
Maddy Perez has excelled in creating opportunities, logging four assists on Lexington’s seven total goals. Most recently, Perez’s corner kick allowed Kim Mendez to score an equalizer in stoppage time to earn a 1-1 draw against Carolina Ascent, marking the first ever point in women’s Lexington SC Stadium history.
Taylor Aylmer is the woman to watch for Spokane Zephyr FC. With Spokane having scored six total goals all season, Aylmer has logged two of them (33%), making her the, as of now, most vital part of the Spokane attack. Whether its Sarah Cox or Bridgette Skiba, LSC has shown an ability to limit opposition goals in its last two matches and it will need to continue to do so if it hopes to be triumphant in the Pacific Northwest. Limiting Spokane scoring chances and shutting down Aylmer will be key for the Greens victory.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Lexington Sporting Club recorded a 1-1 draw inside Lexington SC Stadium against Carolina Ascent FC Sunday night.
A late equalizer in stoppage time saw the Gals in Green earn their first point in the new Lexington SC Stadium. The result also marked the second point the Greens have nabbed from the league-topping Ascent FC.
“I think we all are so excited to be able to do it here on our home field,” goalkeeper Sarah Cox said. “I think this was one of the first games that it really felt like we played as a team for a whole 90 minutes and I think we really showed a lot of grit being able to come back in that last couple of minutes and get that goal on the corner kick.”
Both teams got off to a slow start, with neither able to make anything happen for the majority of the half.
Lexington’s NaYeong Shin recorded the first shot at all of the contest in the 13th minute as the Greens worked to put together a meaningful opportunity.
Unfortunately for the Greens, the first time they put the ball in the back of the net would not bring about celebration, but rather disappointment as, while trying to make a clearance, Maddy Perez inadvertently recorded an own-goal instead.
The score stood as the only one of the first half, with two Carolina yellow cards being the only things that preceded the halftime whistle.
Back out for the second half, Lexington struggled amidst some rough bumps, which forced two substitutions and made way for the debut of 15-year-old Maci Barlow.
“Macy’s fearless, you would never know that she’s 15 years old,” head coach Michael Dickey said. “It’s amazing to see her in practice with these adults. She gave us energy, she gave us a spark, she works relentlessly, and she’s not afraid. We love having her here and she did a great job. It’s her first time to play in this type of arena, but you can see that she was excited, it didn’t faze her one bit. I’m proud of her, it’s awesome to have a young player like that play a professional game and play like she did. She’s going to be a good player to keep an eye on.”
With few opportunities to create meaningful chances, hope seemed lost as stoppage time arrived and the seconds continued to tick away.
Over 10 minutes into extra time, the Greens found their miracle when Perez made up for her first-half mistake and sent a corner kick right to Kim Mendez, who sent the ball into the back of the net to level the match.
“It was just insane, the emotions coming off of the bench, I knew I had to change something,” Mendez said. “(Assistant coach) Maren (McCrary) told me to go in there and they needed me, they need to change something up. I knew in the back of my mind that’s what I’m great at, coming off (the bench) as well as bringing that energy. On that last corner I told God that, if he’s real, let me know right now and he gave me that goal. Super proud of the girls, without them I would not be here, as well as the coaches. I give it all to them and shout out to Maddy because she did her thing on that corner.”
Carolina tried to use what little time was left to regain the advantage, but it was for not as the full-time whistle delivered jubilation for the Greens and a 1-1 final.
“Honestly, I’m lost for words,” Mendez said. “Coming in today I had a feeling I was gonna score for some reason, but I’m super proud of myself. Little Kim, she’s proud right now and probably looking up at me saying, ‘You did it, you accomplished your dream. You go pro and score.’ I did it, so I know more will come, this is not the last of me.”
Carolina controlled the possession in the match, holding onto the ball 60.1% of the time while Lexington won in expected goals with a 0.66-0.32 advantage.
Next up for the Gals in Green, they’ll hit the road on Sunday, Oct. 13, facing Spokane Zephyr FC inside One Spokane Stadium in Spokane, Wash. Kickoff against the Zephyr is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET and will air live on Peacock.
