LEXINGTON, Ky. — Lexington Sporting Club is pleased to announce the signing of forward Malik Henry-Scott to its USL Championship roster for the 2025 season, pending league and federation approval. Henry-Scott brings a wealth of experience from his time in Major League Soccer (MLS) and collegiate soccer, promising to be a dynamic addition to the team’s attacking lineup.
A native of Plano, Texas, Henry-Scott honed his skills within the FC Dallas Academy, a program renowned for producing top-tier talent. He progressed to play professionally with North Texas SC in MLS NEXT Pro, where he contributed to the team’s offensive efforts. Notably, during the 2024 season, North Texas SC secured significant victories, including a 3-0 win over St. Louis City II and a commanding 8-2 triumph against Minnesota United II.
At the collegiate level, Henry-Scott was a standout player for the University of Tulsa. Over three seasons, he appeared in 41 matches, starting 37, and amassed 13 goals and six assists, totaling 32 points. His consistent performance underscored his offensive prowess and playmaking abilities.
Expressing his enthusiasm about joining Lexington Sporting Club, Henry-Scott stated, “I’m very excited and grateful to be a part of this organization, and I can’t wait to get started!”
As Lexington Sporting Club prepares for its inaugural season in the USL Championship, the addition of Henry-Scott aligns with the club’s strategy to build a competitive and dynamic squad. His blend of professional and collegiate experience is expected to enhance the team’s offensive capabilities.
