
Lexington Sporting Club acquired Taylor Aylmer on July 2, 2025.
Aylmer hails from Garnerville, New York where she was a standout youth player with World Class FC and North Rockland High School.
She went on to play for Rutgers University from 2016 to 2019 where she served as co-captain in 2018 and captain in 2019. She earned Big Ten All-Freshman Team honors in 2016 after recording two goals and three assists in 23 matches. A three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection, she started nearly every match over her career, including all 20 as a junior co-captain. As a senior, she led the team with nine assists and earned All-Region Second Team, All-Big Ten Third Team, Scholar All-Region Second Team, and the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.
In the spring of 2021, Aylmer signed with NJ/NY Gotham FC as a National Team Replacement Player and made her professional debut on April 14, 2021. Later that season, she joined the Washington Spirit in the same vein before earning a full contract on August 21, 2021. She played a pivotal role in helping the Spirit capture the NWSL Championship that postseason.
After another year in Washington, Aylmer moved abroad to join Åland United of Finland’s Kansallinen Liiga before returning to the United States with Racing Louisville FC midway through the 2023 season.
In 2024, she signed with Spokane Zephyr FC ahead of the inaugural USL Super League season, captaining the team while appearing in 24 matches and starting 23. She scored four goals across the campaign.
On July 2, 2025, Lexington SC announced the acquisition of Taylor Aylmer on transfer from Spokane Zephyr FC. She was named as the team captain for the 2025/26 season on August 8, 2025.
