
Marcus Epps signed with Lexington Sporting Club on December 12, 2024.
A native of Jackson, Mississippi and a product of the Chicago Fire youth academy, Epps played four seasons at the University of South Florida (NCAA Division I), making 75 appearances for the Bulls. He was selected 25th overall by the Philadelphia Union in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft.
Epps made his professional debut on April 1, 2017, while on loan with Bethlehem Steel, the Union’s USL affiliate, starting and playing 90 minutes in a match against the Rochester Rhinos.
He went on to earn minutes with the Union before being selected first overall in the 2018 MLS Waiver Draft by the New York Red Bulls. He debuted for New York on the opening day of the 2019 MLS season in a 1–1 draw against Columbus Crew.
In August 2019, Epps was loaned to USL Championship side Memphis 901 FC, where he finished out the season. Over the following five years, he became a key contributor for several USL Championship clubs, including San Antonio FC, Phoenix Rising FC, FC Tulsa, and Hartford Athletic.
