A native of Guinea-Bissau who grew up in Portugal, Rodrigues first made his mark in the American soccer scene at Franklin Pierce University (NCAA Division II). Over two standout seasons with the Ravens, he scored 31 goals and provided 25 assists in 45 matches. In 2022, he led the nation with 22 assists and tied for second with 20 goals, helping guide Franklin Pierce to a 25-0-1 record and the NCAA Division II National Championship.
Rodrigues’ dominant 2022 season earned him both the Ron Lenz National Player of the Year and the United Soccer Coaches National Player of the Year honors. He was also named to the D2CCA All-America First Team, the All-East Region First Team, and was recognized as the East Region Player of the Year. He finished his college career ranked ninth all-time in assists (25) and 10th in goals (31) at Franklin Pierce.
In 2023, Rodrigues was selected 55th overall in the MLS SuperDraft by New York City FC before signing with Tacoma Defiance, the MLS NEXT Pro affiliate of the Seattle Sounders. He made an immediate impact, becoming the only player to appear in all 30 matches (28 starts) in his rookie season. Rodrigues set a single-season club record with 15 regular-season goals and added two more in the MLS NEXT Pro playoffs, including a brace in a Western Conference Quarterfinal win over Houston Dynamo 2. He also recorded one of the few hat tricks in club history on August 9 against Sporting Kansas City II.
Rodrigues split time between Seattle Sounders and Tacoma during the 2024 season before joining Lexington SC ahead of the 2025 campaign.
