Amanda Allen has already made her mark in professional soccer, becoming the youngest player ever to sign with Orlando Pride. She made her NWSL debut on May 6, 2023, at just 18 years, two months, and 15 days old in a match against Racing Louisville. Prior to joining Orlando Pride, Allen developed her skills at the Ontario National Development Centre, where she emerged as a standout talent.
On the international stage, Allen led Canada to a bronze medal at the 2022 Concacaf Women’s Under-17 Championship in the Dominican Republic, scoring two goals in the group stage opener and another in the knockout round. She was later named to Canada’s 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup roster, where she scored in the final group stage match against Japan. At just 17 years old, Allen received her first call-up to Canada’s senior women’s national team, making her debut against Brazil on November 22, 2022.
“Extremely excited about having Amanda come from the Orlando Pride! We are proud of the fact that she is representing Canada at the U20 Women’s World Cup,” said Head Coach Mike Dickey. “We’re extremely pleased to have someone of her caliber joining us for this season.”
