Grace Wisnewski
Lexington Sporting Club announced the official signing of Grace Wisnewski to the inaugural USL Super League roster pending league and federation approval on Monday, June 17th.
Wisnewski has enjoyed a strong career in Oceania, being a national “Kiwi”, having suited up for the New Zealand Women’s National Team.
Her national journey began in 2017 when she began play with New Zealand’s U17 Women’s National Team — dubbed “The Young Ferns” — making 10 appearances and scoring multiple goals. She helped the team in the U17 World Cup, earning a bronze medal and being named two-time player of the match.
Moving up to the U20 New Zealand Women’s National Team — dubbed the “Junior Football Ferns” — she made further appearances and netted another goal.
Having worked her way up through the national team system Wisnewski trained with the senior squad ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and has earned three senior caps as an active member of the “Football Ferns.”
At the club level Wisnewski has remained in her home region, beginning her youth career with Hamilton Wanderers AFC before beginning her senior career with the Wellington Phoenix in the Australian A-League, the highest level of women’s football in the region.
Despite being in the native league of Australia, Wellington Phoenix is located in Wellington, New Zealand, and are the only non-Australian representative in the A-League.
She departed the Phoenix in 2023 with the idea of seeking further opportunities around the world, leading her to her new home in the Bluegrass as part of the inaugural Lexington SC USL Super League team.
Autumn Weeks
Lexington Sporting Club announced the official signing of former W League player Autumn Weeks to the inaugural USL Super League roster pending league and federation approval on Wednesday, July 3rd.
Weeks, a strong defender, most recently suited up for the Gals in Green during the 2024 USL W League season, joining the club after playing two years with Valley Division rival Racing Louisville FC.
One year prior she also suited up for Chicago Red Star Reserves in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) and helped push the team to be Lake Michigan Conference Champions.
Weeks is also a former NCAA Division-I standout with the Louisville Cardinals, playing two years in “The Ville” as a senior and fifth-year senior, taking the field in all 31 matches during her tenure. At Louisville she played 1,763 minutes with one goal and one assist.
Prior to joining Louisville, Weeks was a part of the IUPUI Jaguars in Indianapolis — also at the NCAA Division-I level — and played three seasons, suiting up for 45 games with 42 starts and scoring 10 goals with two game winners.
Before her college journey began, Weeks also played for FC Peoria in the 2016 Komm Mit International in Barcelona, Spain, helping to lead her team to win the tournament as team captain. She was also team captain when she helped Central Maine United Premier to win the San Marino Junior Cup in 2018.
She will now make the jump from women’s amateur team to women’s professional team, becoming the latest of the club’s USL W League stars to make the jump to the pros.
Trinity Watson
Lexington Sporting Club announced the official signing of Trinity Watson to its inaugural USL Super League roster pending league and federation approval on Tuesday, July 2nd with Watson becoming the latest standout from the 2024 USL W League season to make the jump.
Watson, a former college standout center back from San Diego, California, played five seasons of collegiate soccer for the Pepperdine Waves from 2018-22, earning numerous accolades as early as her sophomore season in which she started all 20 matches and helped lead her team to 10 shutouts, earning All-WCC First Team honors and United Soccer Coaches All-West Region Second Team honors. The Waves were nationally ranked for all five of her seasons.
She returned to the All-WCC First Team as a junior and cracked the United Soccer Coaches All-West Region First Team as a senior, leading her team to 13 shutouts – one short of a program record.
Returning to college for a fifth year, Watson was placed on the Mac Hermann Trophy – essentially a National Player of the Year award – Watchlist and continued racking up personal accolades as her college career came to an end with her graduation in 2022 with a communications major.
Prior to her collegiate career she was a member of the U14 and U17 U.S. Girl’s National Team from 2013-16.
Post graduation she would go on to be a trialist with Racing Louisville FC and San Diego Wave in the NWSL before joining Indy Eleven in the USL W League, where she helped lead Indy to the 2023 USL W League Championship.
Ahead of joining Lexington SC for the 2024 W League season, Watson played for Apollon Ladies FC in Europe, assisting the Cyprus-based club through UEFA Women’s Champions League qualification where the club advanced through the rounds before being eliminated in the final stage by Portuguese outfit Benfica, who went on to qualify for the knockout phase of the competition.
Kailey Utley
Lexington Sporting Club announced the official signing of Lexington’s all time leading scorer from the USL W League, Kailey Utley, to the inaugural USL Super League roster pending league and federation approval on Monday, July 1st.
Utley, a veteran forward from St. Louis, Missouri, will stay with the club, making the jump from back to the professional soccer world after leading Lexington in goals in the USL W League in 2023 and contributing heavily to the 2024 season as well.
Utley began her journey in college, suiting up for the West Virginia Mountaineers for four seasons where she was named team captain as a senior.
Her best collegiate season came in 2015 when she scored 12 goals to go along with six assists, notching seven game-winning goals to put her fourth in the country, with her efforts seeing her earn numerous accolades including being featured on the All Big 12 First Team, Big 12 All-Tournament Team, and NSCAA All Region First Team. The Mountaineers would rally all the way to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.
Starting in 2016 she began appearing with Fire & Ice Soccer Academy until 2019, earning further accolades in her sporting career and regaining captain status, all the while being a member of the U.S. Army Reserves.
Her status with the military also saw her participate in the CISM Military Women’s World Cup in 2022. She also joined Pacific Northwest (PacNW) Soccer Club that same year, earning Northwest Conference Offensive Player of the Year honors, before helping Lexington SC debut its first ever USL W League squad in 2023.
Natalie Turner-Wyatt
Lexington Sporting Club announced the official signing of Natalie Turner-Wyatt to the inaugural USL Super League roster pending league and federation approval on Wednesday, June 26th
Turner-Wyatt, a former reserve player for NJ/NY Gotham FC of the NWSL, joins Lexington SC following a lengthy playing and coaching career.
Beginning her career in college, Turner-Wyatt suited up for Williams College at the NCAA Division-III level and won three national championships with the Ephs.
She contributed heavily all four years, scoring the game-winning goal of the conference tournament as a freshman and appearing in all 24 games, starting in the final 14.
She started every game her sophomore season — the only one in which Williams did not lift the national title, ending its season in the Elite Eight — and did the same as a junior, assisting the lone goal in the national championship game.
Though her collegiate career would be cut short when she tore her ACL four games into her senior season, she shifted into a player-coach role and her contributions helped lead the Ephs to a third national title.
Graduating with a Bachelors of Arts in History, Turner-Wyatt shifted her focus to coaching, serving as an assistant coach for Mudd-Scripps College before eventually becoming head coach for St. Joseph’s University-Brooklyn for the 2023 season.
During this time she also suited up for Downtown United Soccer Club of the WPSL — where she would be named team captain in her second season — and also served as a youth coach for the club.
She started every game she played for Downtown United and helped the squad to back-to-back WPSL Metropolitan Conference championships, never losing a game during her tenure.
Taiana Tolleson
Lexington Sporting Club announced the official signing of goalkeeper Taiana Tolleson to the inaugural USL Super League roster pending league and federation approval on Friday, July 5th.
Tolleson is a proud native of Hawaii, hailing from Kailua-Kona, and enjoyed a four-season collegiate career at Vanderbilt where she appeared in 34 matches between the sticks for the Commodores. She was also notably the first Hawaiian soccer student-athlete in Vanderbilt history.
Before entering college she played youth club soccer at Surf Hawaii.
While she wouldn’t see the field as a freshman, Tolleson began play as a sophomore in 2017, starting six matches in goal, posting a 3-2-1 record and .677 save percentage.
Coming back as a junior, Tolleson saw the field in 10 matches while splitting time with another keeper. During her time on the field she posted a 3-1 starting record, recording 9 saves and a 1.09 goals-against-average.
Returning for her final year as a senior, Tolleson saw the field in all 21 matches the Commodores played – recording 10 shutouts, which tied the third best mark in Vanderbilt history. She also racked up 35 saves and a 0.64 goals-against-average.
Following the end of her collegiate career, Tolleson would go on to play for the Tennessee Soccer Club USL W League team in both the 2023 and 2024 seasons, helping the club capture back-to-back South Central Division championships.
Now having signed a professional contract with Lexington SC, Tolleson becomes the first ever female soccer player from the Big Island to sign a professional contract in the United States, and will continue her career in the inaugural USL Super League season.
