Lexington Sporting Club announced the official signing of Bridgette Skiba to the inaugural USL Super League roster pending league and federation approval on Monday, July 8th.
Skiba, a goalkeeper, most recently played for HB Koge in Denmark, suiting up in the top tier of Danish soccer.
With HB Koge, Skiba earned the opportunity to not only play top-flight soccer, but also the opportunity to perform in the UEFA Women’s Champions League after contributing to a 2023 Danish league title as a starter.
She also earned player of the match against the esteemed Juventus from Italy.
Prior to moving to Denmark, Skiba was a national team replacement with the Chicago Red Stars in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) during the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup AU/NZ. Skiba filled in for United States Women’s National Team starting goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher.
Before signing her first professional contract, Skiba also trained with Racing Louisville FC and Portland Thorns also in the NWSL.
As an amateur in college, Skiba suited up for the Oregon State Beavers at the NCAA Division-I level, being a team captain all four years before graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Skiba recorded the fourth most saves in program history (286) with the Beavers and was ranked the No. 1 national goalkeeper in the Junior Final by Evrybodysoccer.
